The short version

We do not collect, store, or sell your personal data. YourThailand.net has no user accounts, no login, no tracking pixels, and no advertising network. When you visit the site, we learn nothing about you beyond what Cloudflare logs as standard CDN traffic.

Browser storage

We use localStorage in your browser to save two small preferences. This data never leaves your device and we cannot read it.

dismissed-advisories

A list of travel advisory IDs you have dismissed. Used to stop dismissed banners from reappearing.

map-hint-seen

Set to 1 after the interactive map hint has been shown once. Prevents it from appearing on every visit.

To clear these, open your browser's developer tools → Application → Local Storage → yourthailand.net → Delete.

Third-party services

Some data shown on this site is fetched from external APIs. These calls are made server-side from Cloudflare Workers — your browser does not connect to these services directly.

Frankfurter.appTHB exchange rates. No personal data is shared.

Bangkok Post RSSThailand news headlines. No personal data is shared.

CloudflareHosting, CDN, and edge compute. Cloudflare may log IP addresses and request metadata as part of standard network operations. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Google FontsInter and Noto Sans Thai typefaces, loaded via Next.js font optimization (downloaded at build time, served from our own domain — no Google request from your browser).

Images

Province and destination photos are sourced from Wikimedia Commons and loaded directly from Wikimedia's servers. Wikimedia may log standard CDN access data.

Public API

The public API at /api/*requires no authentication and collects no data about callers beyond Cloudflare's standard request logs.

Children

This site does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13. There is nothing to collect.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top of this page.
