About Chachoengsao
Chachoengsao — often called "Paet Riw" after its eight districts — is an industrial and agricultural province east of Bangkok along the Bang Pakong River, significant as the gateway to the Eastern Economic Corridor. The provincial capital is best known for Wat Sothon Wararam Worawihan, whose revered Luang Pho Sothon Buddha image is one of the most venerated in eastern Thailand, drawing Buddhist pilgrims from across the country. The province's riverside communities still produce traditional Thai sweets and fresh-water fish products.
