About Nong Bua Lamphu
Nong Bua Lamphu is a small and tranquil province in the upper northeast that separated from Udon Thani in 1993. The province is anchored by the Phu Phan Range national forest and several scenic reservoirs popular with local picnickers. Its compact capital is known for the striking white-and-gold Wat Pho Chai temple and the nearby Tham Erawan cave system, where a large seated Ganesha image has made the site a popular pilgrimage destination.
