About Saraburi
Saraburi is a central province best known as the location of Phra Phutthabat, one of Thailand's most sacred Buddhist sites — the gilded mondop enshrining the sacred Buddha footprint draws hundreds of thousands of pilgrims annually. The province also contains the western gateway to Khao Yai National Park via the Wang Muang entrance, and the Muak Lek highlands offer cool temperatures and flower farms. Sunflower fields bloom spectacularly along the Friendship Highway each January and February.
