About Ang Thong

Ang Thong is Thailand's second-smallest province, a flat and fertile plain along the Chao Phraya River given over almost entirely to rice cultivation, orchards, and traditional crafts. The province is famed for producing the best shrimp paste (kapi) in Thailand and for its lacquerware and drum-making traditions. Wat Khun Inthapramun houses a remarkable 19th-century reclining Buddha over 50 metres long, making it one of the longest in the country.
