About Chai Nat
Chai Nat is a small central province where the Chao Phraya River emerges from the northern hills into the broad central plains, controlled by the historic Chainat Dam and its river-diversion network that irrigates much of central Thailand. The province's Wat Phra Borommathat Worawihan houses revered Buddha relics in a fine Ayutthaya-period chedi. Chai Nat Bird Park, a large free-flight aviary adjacent to the dam reservoir, is a favourite weekend destination for Thai families.
